Signs Of Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis : Clinical Signs

Clinical signs of established Osteoporosis are often difficult to detect.

But when we are with patients at risk should think about it and therefore know well the symptoms, to detect the disease sooner.

The clinical manifestations are:

1. Are frequent back pain, which sometimes will not let them sleep, they are not good in bed and increase the mobilization of the back.

2. Clinical data to consider is the statural stagnation or even decrease in size when fractures have occurred or have shrunk the vertebral bodies. This is a very curious fact, but that happens and we find, because sometimes we attribute it to a technical error or because the previous measurement was taken ill.

3. The alterations of the vertebral bodies, flattened vertebrae, biconcave, who come to produce true flattening with subsequent fractures, are data that we must search the cervicothoracic spine radiographs, where it is most often found. Should apply for positions in front and profile in the latter position is where most easily detected.

4. In children it is difficult to find other signs, they are sometimes masked by the underlying disease sufferers. Do not forget that the patient is a patient with rheumatic pains, and has a poor nutritional status, so it is not uncommon to present a certain degree of dystrophy. This entails a certain degree of fatigue, asthenia, is sometimes moody, sad, pale, anorexic, and so on. Hence the importance of monitoring the general condition deteriorated in all chronic diseases, but in this type of pathology is a real problem, often difficult to solve.
